Dr. Veronica Poore is a licensed psychologist that was born and raised in Arizona. She comes from a multicultural family and earned her Bachelor's of Science in Family Studies and Human Development from Arizona State University in 2006. After several years of work experience and pursuing other life goals, she began working towards her Doctorate. In 2015, Dr. Poore earned her Doctorate of Psychology from Argosy University with an emphasis in School Psychology. She completed an APPIC internship, receiving both didactic and clinical based training in an educational environment. After working in the field for several more years, she earned her Arizona board licensure in 2023.
Dr. Poore has over 10 years of experience evaluating, diagnosing, and recommending services for children, adolescents, and their families. She specializes in psycho-educational and comprehensive developmental evaluations for children of all ages. Additionally, Dr. Poore is knowledgeable in other diagnostic services for both adolescents and adults, and over the past two years has also extended diagnostic services to adults across the lifespan with varying medical and mental health disabilities. With experience in many different fields including customer service, corporate facilities, financial institutions, and behavioral health, Dr. Poore is a firm believer that each experience brings on new learning opportunities. It is her intention to incorporate those lessons into everyday practice.
Dr. Poore is very passionate about working with children and collaborating with families to identify needs and provide supportive guidance through the assessment and diagnostic process. She uses evidenced-based practices and measures of assessment through a comprehensive evaluation procedure, and prefers to take an individualized approach in order to provide service recommendations that help with overall development progress for those in need. Dr. Poore enjoys working in a team based environment that provides outreach and diagnostic services, while taking an empathetic and supportive approach so that families can feel heard and welcome. She joins MORIAH Health with excitement to continue providing expansive diagnostic services for families, while remaining a lifelong student in the psychological field of practice.
